Anti-corruption

Corruption (from lat. corrumpere — "defile") — a term denoting usually use their official powers and rights entrusted it for personal gain, contrary to the laws and moral precepts. Most often the term is used in relation to the bureaucratic apparatus and the political elite. In most European countries, corruption is a criminal offense. According to Russian law [Federal law of the Russian Federation from December 25, 2008 N 273-FZ "On combating corruption"], corruption is the abuse of official position, bribery, receiving a bribe, abuse of authority, commercial bribery or other illegal use by a physical person of his official position contrary to legitimate interests of society and the state in order to obtain benefits in the form of money, valuables, other property or services of property character, other property rights for itself or for third parties or illegal provision of such benefits specified person other physical persons; and also committing the mentioned actions on behalf or in interests of the legal entity. Found in the law the concept of "corruption crime" has a separate definition. Abuse can be a form of corruption (one of the criminal acts of officials or group of individuals), but does not cover the entire definition of corruption.

December 9 - the international day against corruption. On 9 December 2003 in Merida (Mexico) at the Political high-level conference was signed the Convention of United Nations against corruption. For three days the signature under the new international document was signed by representatives of 100 countries in the world. The day of the beginning of the conference was declared the International day against corruption.
